Partner Privacy Policy
What the Partner app collects from your shop, why, and who gets to see it.
Effective 17 September 2026
In short: we collect what's needed to verify your shop, show it to customers, route orders to you and pay you out — and nothing else. Your CNIC and licence are seen only by the Happy B-Town team, never by customers. We don't sell your data and we don't run advertising trackers.
1. Who we are, and what this covers
Happy B-Town runs a grocery marketplace and delivery service in Bahria Town, Karachi, Pakistan. This policy covers the Happy B-Town Partner app, used by the shops that sell on the marketplace. Customers who buy through the Happy B-Town app are covered by the separate customer privacy policy.
2. What we collect
- Account details — the owner's name, email address, phone number and a password (stored only as a hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email address on that account.
- Shop details — shop name, type, tagline and description, logo and cover image, address, area and map pin, delivery radius, shop phone and WhatsApp number, and per-day opening hours.
- Verification documents — both sides of the owner's CNIC, a photo of the shop, and a business licence where one applies. These are collected once, at onboarding.
- Catalogue — the categories, products, variants, prices, stock levels, images, offers, banners and coupon codes you create.
- Orders and payouts — every order routed to your shop, what you did with it and when, the cash collected on your behalf, commission if any, and each payout with its reference.
- Device information — the device type, app version and a push-notification token, so a new order can ring your phone and so we can diagnose crashes.
- Location — only if you tap "use my current location" while placing your shop's map pin, and only to place that pin. The app does not track the device in the background.
- Support conversations — what you write to us on WhatsApp or by email, so we can follow it up.
3. Why we collect it
- To verify that a shop is a real business run by the person registering it, before it goes live.
- To show your shop and its products to customers in the Happy B-Town app.
- To send orders to you, to dispatch a rider to your address, and to let the rider and our team call you about an order.
- To work out and pay your weekly payout, and to keep the records that accounting and tax rules require.
- To notify you — of a new order, an approval, a rider assignment, or a change to fees.
- To answer you when you contact support, and to resolve disputes about orders and payouts.
4. What customers can see
Once your shop is live, customers see what a shopfront shows: your shop name, logo, cover image, tagline and description, area and address, opening hours, delivery radius, catalogue, offers and coupons, and the ratings and reviews left on your orders. Your shop phone or WhatsApp number is shown so a customer can reach you about their order.
Customers never see your CNIC, licence, email address, password, payout figures, or the owner's personal phone number if it differs from the shop's.
5. Customer information you receive
Each order shows you the customer's name, phone number, delivery address and instructions, so you can prepare it and answer a question about it. Under the Partner Terms you may use that information only for that order: not for your own marketing, not stored outside the app, and not shared with anyone.
6. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data, or your customers' data, to anyone.
- We don't use your verification documents for anything other than verifying the shop.
- We don't run advertising or cross-site tracking in the Partner app.
- We don't hold card or bank details in the app. Payouts are arranged with you directly.
7. Who else sees it
Only the people and services needed to run the marketplace: the Happy B-Town team that reviews shops, dispatches riders and prepares payouts; the riders, who see your shop's name, address and phone for the orders they collect; our hosting, database and file-storage providers; the mapping service used to look up and display addresses; the push-notification service that delivers alerts to your phone; and Google, if you choose to sign in with it. Each sees only what its job requires. We disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.
8. How long we keep it
Shop, catalogue, order and payout records are kept while your shop is listed, and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting, tax and dispute purposes. Verification documents are kept while the shop is listed and deleted after the account is closed, except where we are required to keep them. Device tokens are removed when you sign out or uninstall.
9. Your choices
- See or correct your details — most of them are editable under Shop profile in the app; for anything else, ask us.
- Take your shop offline — flip the live switch. Your listing disappears from the customer app until you switch it back on.
- Close your account — contact support. Outstanding orders are completed, a final payout is made, and your personal details and documents are removed, retaining only what we must keep for tax and record-keeping.
- Turn off notifications — in your phone's settings, at any time. Bear in mind that a new order is only announced by notification.
- Withhold location — deny the permission and place the pin by hand. Everything still works.
10. Children
The Partner app is for businesses, and we don't knowingly register anyone under 18.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we'll update this page. Material changes affecting how we use your data will also be announced in the Partner app.
12. Contact
Questions about any of this — or a request to see, correct or delete your data — go to support@happybtown.com or WhatsApp.
This policy is a plain-language summary of our practices. It is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed against the Personal Data Protection legislation applicable in Pakistan before publication.
